I'm constantly searching for something I should have, but I can never find it. Then, by chance, sometimes while searching for an item from the collection, I stumble upon something I've been looking for for a long time.

Those are some great reference books. I currently have 5 in my collection. Very nice clear photos for study purposes.

Hey brother I think your misunderstanding me. I already have all of Johans WWI books and I've even started on his excellent east German set.

I was commenting on the post from CCJ saying he wished Johan would do another volume on Officers items.

That would be great and I would pre order it today.

I've not been disappointed with any of Johans works over all the years and have them all so far.

I would also recommend his excellent work on imperial russian items. its not a popular topic here but its a great reference especially since its in english . Books in English or German are hard to find when dealing with Russian topics.

Thanks all for the nice comments. An officer focussed volume is not yet in scope but perhaps it could be a great subject indeed! Working on some US WW1 volumes at the moment.

I was bound and determined to check my photos as with these conversations I recall having one of these and here it is, sold to me by Tony for Collection 2.0. It was sitting behind my leather reading chair opposite my desk in my office the entire time.....now I have one with the spike cover and one without! (Bangs head on wall) Getting older might mean wiser but it does nothing for the memory....
