A not so easy to find M15 … 8-)

Stamps inside ; HR10 1915 (Huzaren Regiment 10) , BAIV and the maker.
No red kolpak ,but those were almost never used on an M15.

Thank you gents ,
I bought this mütze from the man who cleaned and restored all the helmets in the Brussels museum ,
you can imagine how I was hanging on his lips to hear all the stories he had to tell ,including the one about the notorious basement …. =P~
He is also the grandson of a decorated ”Patrouilleur” by the IJzer ,again priceless storytelling ! :notworthy:

Hello!
It's an incredible find! :bravo:
I don't if it is the same person but I also knew someone who restored the helmets at the Brussels Museum. I didn't know he had such great helmet in his collection though :thumb up:
Best regards
Arnaud

Thanks Arnaud, yes, chances are that this is our man, it’s a small world in an already small country.

Thanks gentlemen, glad you appreciate it :)
I wasn’t really looking for one of these, but I can never resist a regimented peace.

(I now notice that the Feldzeichen is not punched in all the way in the pictures, it goes deeper than that …perfectionistic me again  )

What a beautiful piece. Not many collectors will ever say they owned a M1915 busby, and fewer still in that condition.

Wonderful! :bravo:

These M1915 Pelzmützen are extremely hard to find and this one's a real beauty!

Joe, here is another example of that maker's stamp on an M1915 Pelzmütze.

I had also thought it might be "Thleme" but confirmed that it is in fact "Thieme".

The dotted "i" looks like an "l" on an ink stamp but is clear in an impressed stamp.
