M16 101U.S.F.A. Souvenir

Hello everyone, today I’m posting a German M16 to which I added a chinstrap from my collection, since it was missing one.
Maker Bell L. Richard Lindenberg A.G., Remscheid-Hasten.
This helmet belonged to a certain Käfer, as noted on the rim and brim, unfortunately without his first name.
However, if someone could help me identify him, it would be very kind.
The helmet was brought back by Private Straw of the 101st F.A.

Very nice bring back helmet, I dont think you will have much luck with his name unless you know his first name then you will need a German who can research for you. Like on German Ancestry. Rob

I like it a lot. The paint on the outside is unfortunately a bit gone but the inside looks great and it's a rarer maker. Nice looking helmet with veteran details!

Thank you so much! I also have serious doubts that I’ll ever be able to find the German soldier it belonged to — unfortunately, I don’t have his first name, his unit, or even the place where the helmet was found.
I did manage to find a photo of the doughboy, but I haven’t posted it because I’m not sure whether it’s allowed or not.
I’ll try to look into the battles fought by the 101st U.S.F.A. and see if anything comes up... thanks again, Rob
