Real pre-1918 as mentioned (Tank or Flamethrower units), post (Freikorps), or worse (fake)?

Fake, or Freikorps.

We often see such helmets from germans attics in the french market.

Originals of this type of helmet are very rare, that makes one suspicious when so many are found on ebay, the fakes make even the real ones of less value, as it becomes difficult to determine what is real, much like the Russian, Serb, Roumanin, ect Adrian helmets.
