M17 camo 1. Garde-Infanterie-Division helmet

M17 K.64 (J&H Kerkmann, Ahlen i/Westf.). The three colour camo panels are neatly separated by thin black dividing lines. A bordered Hohenzollern crest can clearly be seen underneath the camo paint. I have yet to take better interior shots, but the helmet is complete with the original chinstrap and liner, but sadly the leather pads have separated from the liner band. What looks like "Sch. (Schuetze) Meltzer" is scratched into the rear flange.

A special and interesting helmet. I love to see the Hohenzollern crest under the paint, that's someting we don't see every day...
