M17 Guards helmet

One of my first steel helmet purchases. Only the shell and the steel liner band remains, but as shown, the all important guards shield remains. Manufacturer is Eisenhütte Silesia, size 66. I don’t see any evidence of a regiment number painted on the back; if there was one, it has long been removed. A prized helmet in my collection IMG_0371.jpeg

Nice, I have one or two Garde helmets with no number on the back. I assume not all helmets were numbers. Idk
