M18 with custom/experimental front plate on Manions Auction

An interesting helmet on Manions Auction Site USA item no:5846465 an M18 Cammo helmet Si66 shell with a custom or experimental design riveted on front plate 3 rivets to each end and 3 rivets to visor.The liner has added on leather extensions too this maybe of interest to one of you helmet collectors.

The liner is post WWI era. Probably freikorps/ early weimar era. The helmet looks to be aresnal repair and reissue. Chances are the camo was post war done. Ie 1920's or later. But that is my two cents. Hopefully more knowledgeable collectors will voice their opinion. Another words do not go by opinion as gospel.
