Any thoughts on this? Is it just me or does the plate look a bit new, and shouldn't the pins securing the visor be brass? :?

Looking again, I see that one of the pins is indeed brass. Just thought the plate looked a bit tinny. The helmet body seems honest enough.
 
Seems ok to me. However, its indeed a bit shiny, which may be an effect of the lights when the pictures were taken.

I believe this may have been put together from parts. The kokarde seems to be from one of the Saxon duchies, Anhalt should be all green with a serrated edge. The hexagonal nuts retaining the front plate are not a good sign and the spike base rivets look as though they have been removed and the prongs not folded down tightly when the rivets were reinstalled. The chinscales also seem a bit too long for the helmet.
