I tried to use filters on the mark. First letter is F Can't read the rest. Why F? :la:

'F' for 'Fuss'?? - It would be nice if you had a definite marking possibly starting with a 'C', to qualify that plate.

No point you have listed a good abbreviation. I cannot see that mark in the picture only what looks like an F????.

Hi Bruno. If you know the helmet and it's marked 'CGR9' then that qualifies the plate. That was my point. I cant read it from the photographs and Joe mentioned an 'F'.

I have seen the mark on this very helmet in other circumstances. It seems to be correct and authentic. You can see the contours of a line eagle under the grenadier eagle, which may be explained by the fact that the latter was adopted in 1913.

Thanks! A great mark but I thought only I could take pictures that bad and fuzzy. I see where I got the F from but it has all the right marks. Thanks again it is fun trying to interpret the marks but the seller needs to go to Tony's school of photography.
