M1895 converted to a M1915 with a odd manufacturer marker.

Looks to have started its life as an m1895 then during the war turned to being an m15. It Has a m1895 style liner.

The makers mark i believe reads A.Wonderlish Berlin, i personally have never seen this makers mark before. I first saw it whilst I was cleaning the dust and dirt out of the inner shell.

The measurements between the two wappen grommits is a little less then 3in, what principalities would have this belonged too? Prussian?

Your helmet looks like a M1915, even with authentic leather cord to adjust the liner. Unfortunately somebody tried to attach a new Wappen to the helmet, by punching new holes into the shell. Moving the wire loops on the back of the Wappen would have been a better solution in my opinion. The maker is „A. Wunderlich - Berlin“. It is a known one, you can find him in the makers list from Col.J:
