Brass fittings pickelhaube for a field Artillery officer troop. This example has black leather body with brass fittings throughout, including the brass heraldic eagle with voided crown, removable kugel ball, spike base, star retainers, rear spine, front visor trim, convex chinscales and rosettes. Exterior body has minor crazing.
Prussian eagle wappen is secured to helmet body via thread and screw system and is original to the helmet. No extra holes behind the wappen.
Front and rear visors have firm stitching. They have the red and green backing which is correct for officers. Rear visor has glue remains
Interior featured a brown leather sweatband with salmon coloured silk canvas. Both in good condition. Original Reich and State cockades. Convex chinscales secured by oval rosettes.
