Hi,

Can someone tell me when (the date) the M1915 Feldgrau Attila was adopted by enlisted troops and officers of German Hussars as field uniform?

Regards,

Richard

If you are speaking of the enlisted man's simplified Attila, they were first authorized in March of 1915. The changes included the dropping of the tail frogging and the adoption of barrel cuffs. When the new universal uniforms came in September of 1915, the hussars were to be issued with the Bluse and only retained their distinctive shoulder cords. Of course, the Attila in use at that time continued to be worn and occasionally you see them with the upgraded M15 shoulder cords, which utilized cord instead of metal numbers and cyphers.
