I can't make this one... The buckles look OK but I don't know about the rest, especially that 'redish' leather color...
What do you guys think?

Don't jump the gun, those pictures are really bad and I wouldn't say "red rot" for sure. some leather on these chinstraps have a very natural reddish brown color to them. I would need to really see some good macro photos are hold the thing myself to say that it has "red rot".
 
Sold for almost $262!! :o

Now that's what I call excessive! No matter how bad you need a chinstrap--like I do--I think this is going way overboard with what's after all a silly old piece of leather which isn't even in pristine condition...
