Here is a particular and rare M1915 prussian infantry officer visor cap.
With the regulation of AKO 21 september 1915 were introduced a new uniform and visor cap.
This one is a example of summer private purchase visor cap of a prussian infantry officer.
It’s made of a extra fine light khaki cotton fabric and, as usual in the war period, the sweat-band, , is in grey-green oilcloth.
A peculiarity of the Mod. 1915 is the visor which is painted in “felgrau”, a characteristic that will then be lost in the subsequent 1917 model.
The cap was manufactured by Küpperia Mutze and this particular model was called “100gramm” because of it’s low weight as showed on the beautiful manufacturing logo. This cap was a coveted piece of clothing for the most demanding and fashionable officers who could afford it
