M94 Pelzmûtze Husaren Regt 3 - 5 - 13 - 14

This one flew in this week.
It's a M94 Busby from a Wachtmeister Husaren Regt. Nr 3 - 5 - 13 - 14... It was a private purchase and belonged to Einjährig Freiwilliger Thater 3. Eskadron...
The busby is covered with black-dyed seal fur... It's a soft-sided busby (like most officers busbies were made) and not a covered bamboo frame as we see in the issued Pelzmûtze...
This busby is a M94, used before 1897... In 1897 the Reichscokarde was added and in this case there is no sign of a Reichscokarde. The busby also has the paradeplume with hanging hairs that was used from 1843 until 1903...
The labels of the owner are in the carryingbox and its lid... Too bad he glued one of his labels over the makers label... The label in the busby has disappeared, but traves are slightly visible...
I think it would be interesting to know to which regiment mr. Thater belonged... Maybe some of you guys can look this up for me? Thank you very much in advance!

Very very nice Karel. The Etui is a nice addition, hard to find. So the Haarbusche is basically the same as an Ulanen Haarbusche?

I ironically found the Attila and Krätzchen for HR3 this week, and now I am also looking for a Pelzmütze to go with it. Some day.

Thank you very much for your kind replies gentlemen!

So the Haarbusche is basically the same as an Ulanen Haarbusche?
Yes Tony, basically it is...

When you found them on wednesday, we might have had a sort of telepathic transmission or something... very strange, because now I'm looking for an Attila too...

And here it is. A nice clean Eigetumsstück Husaren-Regt. von Zieten (Brandenburgisches) Nr.3 (Rathenow) III Armee Korps.

Couldn't ask for a better example. Now my hunt begins for a Pelzmütze....

A truly beautiful busby, they do not get much better than that. Tony, you already know how I feel about that attila. Brian
