This is a filzhelm pattern not often seen - a rolled-rim felt shell lacquered black to look like a leather M95, BA X 1915, Waterloo wappen for one of the Hanoverian Regiments: IR 74, 77, 78, 164 or 165. Joe has a picture of a similar helmet on his website.
The liner is stitched and folded on th inside of the shell like a standard filzhelm, but the manufacturer has folded a separate piece of leather on each side in the gap between the visors to create the impression that the liner is stitched on the outside and folded over the rim like a regular leather M95.
