High need some help just aquiered 2 m95's I think they are m95's) .One is a Prussian Infantry and the Other is a Prusian Kugel. The pair came together and was purchased from a WW2 veteran, so I am told.
I think some part's were switched as the Pearled Spike is on the helmet with the visor marked to FAR %^ and the other Helmet with no obvius marking's has the kugel.
The Spiked one was marked as an NCO helmet the Spike is short and has a pearl ring , one set of split pins is slightly higher than the other. One of the Wappen looks to be frosted.
One has the front visor trim missing, I have it but need retaining pins.
The price was very reasonable the shells are both in great shape , with a little cleaning the helmet's will be buetiful. Both have original chinstrap's but only one has original cockarden.

I am trying to figure out what is what with these 2. I would like to straighten them up. Any help would be greatly be apreciated.
There 2 owner's on these 1 is mine the Kugelhelm and another forum meber has the other. I had to share as I did not have enough for both and did not want to split the Kugel from it's shell , hope i got that right.
Both came in at $1100 CDn.
I have added photo's and some differnet ones in hopes that visual recognition will help.New pics in a couple day's

Helloooooany help

Mark, What are you after for info? The spike on the FAR helmet does not belong there at all, that is a private purchase spike on an issued helmet. Not a big deal, as the spike is nice, and all the owner needs is a Kugel top.

What else? T

The tops are traded the Kugelhelm is now with kugel. The other spike is now on the other body.
These are question's i have specfaclly .
The Kugelhelm -it is to an Artillery Regiment and dated 1898 , it has a wider m91 side mount than the other's in my collection. .Does this mean this should have a set of Chinscales as apposed to a chin strap?
What are hte other markings on the rear flap a 1A , a boxed 3.B. , and a II .
The other helmet had a cilded wappen and side mounts and the interior of the spike was also gilded , all the gilding has been polished off , by previous person. There are no makings that i na find.It is heavier in wieght , but only has a 8 fingered liner with round tip finger's . I have read all that i can on the sites I have listed for helet research and am lost as to where this helmet fit's .Is it a war time One tear volunteer or a Private purchase Mannshaft? The spike is not higher than the one on my other Infantry M95 .
I would like to know more of the second helmet as the trim is missing for one of the 2 helmet , if this helmet is private purchase it could be missing trim , as it sit's now the kugel is sans trim.
The trim on the Infantry pattern helmet is loose and would fit the Kugel.
decent pictures to come of marking's , parts in question
The 2 interior plates were slightly different one had round hles and was a bit smaller and the other had slits instead . also the sine on the jugel had a 2 stamped at the top under the spike, again this could br from the other helmet .
I hope this makes more sense .

Originally, yes. But I also have a nice FAR with the wide M91 lug. http://www.kaisersbunker.com/hp/hp21.htm

No idea. II could be a Garniture, or a Batterie?

I say it is an issue helmet with an incorrect private purchase spike. I vote ditch the spike and get an issued one on there. You will not see anything but an issued helmet with a finger liner. But that is one odd looking liner??

Is this one yours? I can trade you an issued spike for that private purchase one. T

Thanks Tony :D .The Spike and that hauben are not mine but I will ask the owner if he wnats a trade. The chicken the side lugs and the spike base all show sign's that they were once gilded.
U have traded parts and have cleaned them up , so i will retake pic's to show the helmet's and tops' . The FAR helmet has 7 finger's and shows an older repair, I am not sying Military but it looks old .
Thank you for the link to the mount question .I am guesing that it can have either chinstrap or chinscales? I have yet to measure the mounting hardware for both haubes.
Again Thank;s again Tony. It is a little frustrating when i read all i can ask question's and can not get answers , or even responces.

The mounts for the strap are just over 2mm , tough to call. They fit well on mount's though.
Also any info this Arttilery unit and where it was assigned?
Thanks
