For your review gentlemen... here's a Prussian M95 Generals helmet. It came to me with the spike and the black and white paradeplumes...

A great helmet! You don't see to many of these. But shouldn't this be posted under "General Headgear"? :D

Very nice! Especially to find both the spike and parade plume!

No spike for this one though. Some day I'll find a 'spare'..

Oh... and after photoing this, I found that I could easily straighten the 'black eagle' with my finger... so it's now straight.

I remember when I started collecting several decades ago, I visited the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor and the curator had a general's Pickelhaube on his desk. "I'd like to get one of those someday." I said, just casually. His reply was a simple, "Good luck!" I didn't realize at that time it was a general's helmet and it took a good deal of time and some luck to get one that I could afford.
I guess good things come to those who wait! .. and save ... and search.

Yes, the "good luck" really means something when it's about a general's helmet... I waited about 20 years to find this one...
