I discussed this with Brian and the other moderators after noticing that some of the posts in the marketplace go back to 2006. I already cleaned up the Pickelhaube sale section and will try to help clean up the other sections too.
There is no reason for sale posts should live forever. These are not meant to be discussions about an item. If there are questions or issues this should be posted in another appropriate section. It is confusing to have old for sale posts stay active years later, plus it is hard to know what is sold and what is still available.
Please post when an item has sold so that the thread can be removed. Hey, if the item is really special it can be posted in the appropriate section by the seller and/or potential buyer! Please let me know if anyone has an issue with this thinking.
