Just got this one in the mail today, Nice Mecklenburg M95, well marked on inside back visor 89R 1B 1908, which is correct for this helmet.

When I bought this helmet, I was not sure of the chinstrap, but I am 100% convinced in hand that it is real. Nice brass hardware on strap that shows great patina, leather is very fine and very thin.

Mecklenburg Kokarden I believe is real, but looks like white is repainted?

Original leather tabs holding on wappen.

Super happy with this one.

I forgot to mention in my first post, that yes, I know it should have a fluted spike. Not sure what to say on that, the spike and base look like they have never been off the helmet, as well as the wappen, it shows that it has been on the helmet for a long time.

as you said, fluted spike for both officer and EM.
:-k there could be a multitude of reasons to explain why yours hasn't get one.... #-o

Judging from the pictures, the chinstrap ,as you said, seems to be a copy...for me the land cocarde is is totaly repainted.

have picture of the back of the plate ???
