James is right... I didn't want to say anything as it LOOKS like a nice helmet.. figuring that even 'Uhlan' might happen upon a good one now and then. :???:

Thanks guys; I wasn't gonna bid on it anyway as I'm trying to focus on wartime haubes... One needs to optimize one's budget or go back in time and try and get the same deals/low prices you 'veteran' collectors keep on teasing us with... :)
 
after all those negative responses on Headgear on ebay I guess I'll never, ever try my luck there...

Until the day comes... and someone convinces me that a nice 'Other Ranks' Jäger zu Pferde Mod 1905 helmet is a good one....
...and even then: I'll prefer driving all the way to 'the far East' to the Kassel WBK...or to Kube...
BTW: I'm looking for one 8)

Ditto. One just has to be more careful in some ways since the helmet is not 'in your hands' to be inspected. However, with a return policy, I don't think its that much worse than some dealers on line. One always takes a chance.

Seems like a nice one to me. Although I bought two helmets on ebay in the past, I would never do it again, because I think its too risky.
