As promised some pics of my "helmmacher" pickelhaube. This haube is similar in every way to the one you have Joe, including the 2 holes in the front of the shell on either side of the wappen slot. The wappen itself is a very thin stamping. Thank you for posting your article. I had no idea that what I had was a "kit" helmet from the helmmachers. This piece is in mint condition size 58 Brian
