What does the front visor marking say?

What about the Sch., though?
The seller thinks it stands for school, but what does it really stand for?

Brad,

I tried to look for this a while ago. My first impression was that it was a neighborhood of Berlin. However, I have kind of settled on the thought that it is an abbreviation of the cofounders name. Hermann Schlegel. These were early war helmets and Hermann was still with the firm. As with all things marking related this is my opinion – opinion. I await others to correct me. I am always learning.

That was my first impression – I just have been unable to link the firm and that neighborhood or district. Makes the most sense to me. But I have not been able to determine the location in 1914. I think I might actually have something that would tell me but it is not on the top of my list.
