MGK Marked bayonet

Picked up this today a nice MG marked ersatz bayonet. I have been looking for a MG marked bayonet for quite some time so this is a first for me. Blade is odd, it looks upside down to me with the sharp edge to the top....I know Gus will tell me its because it is in the Southern Hemisphere and that if it was in the Northern Hemisphere it would be the right way up  ....any insight would be appreciated

The shape of the frogstud sugests it was altered for the turks as wel for the piece that mounts over the barrel
But on the other hand,
Most of austrian-hungarian bajonets where made with the edge of the blade upwards rather than downwards
