Another thing the mailman brought me this week, the military service book of Franz Johannes Schönfeld! This chap served in the kaisers army from 1914 until 1919 in different regiments and in some important sectors. He was, moreover, also awarded the EK2.

Overall, a nice piece of (personal) history :D

just a pitty that the writting is like the common doktor's( just not readable)for us normal people

Actually the writing is very clear, it lists some of the battles he participated in
1. Feb 1917 to 5. April 1917, battle on the Aisne
6. April 1917 to 27. May 1917, Dobble attack on the Aisne/Champagne
4. June 1917 to 20 July 1917 fortress battle on Chemin des Dames
14. August 1917 to 27. August 1917 ?? attack by Verdun
10. October to 16. October, fortress battle from Verdun
