today I visited (with my 11 years old son), MILITRACKS the biggest event with functioning german WW2 vehicles and tanks in the world,
(in the war museum of overlook that has a enormous collection of vehicles themselves, but the vehicles driving around are from collectors like Keep them Rolling, but then for german ones)
There were Kuebles, Schwimmwagens, Panzers, Hanomags and other halftracks, kettenrads, Opel Blitz, Mercedes, etc. etc.
So no Pickels, but as almost all militaria collectors are interested in military history in general I decided to post some photographs , but there were many more (I think more than 50 - 60 vehicles), if interested, this event is every year in ma, check out their website.

there were 3 real Tiger tanks , with one actually driving around, quite a spectacle!

So: sorry not WW1, but maybe interesting anyway?

Thank you so much for the pictures! Looks like it was a great event.

You are right, my main focus is pickelhaubes. But I enjoy all history and like building 1/35 scale WW2 armor as well.

Overloon in the Netherlands ( a beautiful war museum)
And so it is, a great museum! I visited Militracks 3 times already, alway's nice, this year I didn't go.
The museum itself, I visited many times, first when I was growing up, with my parents and sister, my dad wanted us to know what war really was,
and the significance of it all. In fact, my youth stimulated me to learn more about the misery, and history of warfare in itself.
So I started buying books, and collecting when I was about 17, I never really stopped.
