Today, hundredth anniversary of the mobilization. The real start of WW1 in France.
The WW1 archaeology association "La Main de Massiges" has announced that they have unearthed the remains of 5 german soldiers close to Massiges (eastern France, about half way between Reims and Verdun). They assume that they were buried by the germans themselves, because equipment including spike helmets were still present in the grave, adding that the French would have certainly not buried those... still somehow surprising that the Germans would have though.
