Hello
After presenting my favorite regiment, now I will go to my favorite land.

I begin with the R114 helmet, he was picked up and brought back by a British soldier. He did, during long, an English collector...It is very well preserved, has experienced combat (see the tip), the weather,... :-x

One question remains, the IR114 did not reserve troops, and I cannot explain why it has a reserve... :-k

This is perfectly normal and totally correct. About one half of the Regiment were reserve soldiers when first mobilized. The helmets came from regimental stores which could have been used for various practice units before the war and had the appropriate Landwehr/reserve attributes. It also could have been a hand-me-down helmet that was not marked by the new unit. R114 Was the normal way of marking the active unit in this regiment's case.

I love the Baden "Greif"-I'd love to have a Baden FeldArtillerie Kugelhaube in my collection...
Thank you,
Francis

Jupiter,

Can you measure the Landwehr cross? Most of them were 25 mm but this one looks larger. Bruno has one that is 36 mm!
