Hello everyone well I found this Pickelhaube it has model 1842 characteristics including the form, size and chinscales, but it has a double eagle and its cockades are the colors of Schleswig-Holstein
Is there such thing as a model 1850 pickelhaube from that area? I heard of other model 1842 related to Hessen and meckelnburg but is there such a thing?
I will try to get images here as soon as possible but I hope you can give me any info regarding it

Thanks!!

Herzogtümer/Duchies of Schleswig-Holstein (1848-1851):
-1848: both Duchies formed an alliance with the King of Denmark. February 1848: the events in Paris
ignited the revolutionary spark; as in Prussia, and most of the German States.
-In Schleswig-Holstein the insurgents against Denmark formed a small army that soon was dressed
and equipped to Prussian example.
-The Infantry Pickelhaube was the Prussian Mod 1842 with brass fittings. The Helmwappen consisted
of the two-headed Adler with an inescutcheon with the coats of arms of both Duchies.
-Kokarde: blue-white-red; right side. Deutsche Kokarde (red-yellow-black); left side-to mark the bond
with the Deutscher Bund.
-A Prussian army rushed to the rescue of the small army of Schleswig-Holstein. It pulled back in 1849.
The Defeat of Idstet in 1850 would prove fatal for the insurgents. On March 29, 1851 their army
dissolved.

Kris is right: mail some pictures please.

It looks like it could be a replica to me- the front visor trim and tip of the spike don't look right!

I will get more photos soon to show other angles of it
Any other comments? I like to hear from a whole group to help in this
It seems correct I went to Kaiser's bunker website the front visor seems to match his 1842 model reserve picklehaube but I can't be sure

Here are two more views
I really hope this is original :(
I really would appreciate more info regarding it

Thanks!!!

Okay thank you all for helping me in determining that the pickelhaube I was looking at was not real I really appreciate it!
But how about this example?
This seems to be a Model 1842 Pickelhaube
It has leather Kokardes typical of that model
Does have the proper screws which are dome inside and the screw connecting the Chinscales are period correct which is a theaded bolt
It's cypher of FWR is supposed to mean Grenadier Units
But the liner inside seems to be recently added
But would this be a really good example of a fake or a really nice preserved original pickelhaube from 1842?

I've seen the appearance of a number of replicas of these very early Pickelhauben in the last few years...
