model 1860?

Hi guys,
I have this garde regiment nr.4 Habue. I am not sure what model it is? It was declared as m1880, but it seems too high. Please advise

Yes indeed, a 1860 model. Missing the visor rim, back spine, and with a wrong eagle plate.

Thank you for answer. It can be seen that the eagle doesn´t fit the marks on helmet. Also it is marked inside with" 4.G." And also the spike has a screw and can be changed for the parade tail. Now only get the right eagle and clean it.

That is a perfectly appropriate Wappen for that helmet. The holes are present for the addition of the "Mit Gott für König und Vaterland" bandeaux that was added in 1860.

The Model 1860 Infantry helmet used, at least, four different Wappens where a standard line eagle was called for:
M1842 with soldered on bandeaux
M1842 with stamped bandeaux
M1842 with stamped (or soldered) bandeaux and FWR cypher
M1860 with or without FWR cypher

It is a pity that the crown is missing, and it doesn't seem to match the indentations on the leather shell, but it is an appropriate Wappen for the period.
It looks like this helmet originally had a grenadier Wappen.
