I believe that most Haube collectors have that one helmet, special in their own eyes, that when someone says the word "Pickelhaube" it is the first thing that pops into their minds. This is the helmet that does that for me.

John, that's a really nice example. I usually think of what I used to call a 'gold trim' Prussian helmet, or an 1895 Prussian Line Infantry.... when I hear somebody say 'Pickelhaube', since it was the first I'd actually held in my hands. :)

Very nice, I understand what you mean about a special helmet. There is just something about it (to you) that makes it different.
