Model 89 tool/help needed

Not even sure what exactly the tool is called, but does anyone have one of the tools for removing the pommel cap off of a Model 89 sword? Or is there a modern tool I can find?

I have some swords that need to have their caps replaced, one is missing all together...

Use a circlip wrench. They make them in brass or bronze, but the regular cheap ones will certainly do.

Any other recommendations if the circlips are ready to break because it's stuck?
I also tried thin pliers but I want to try something that will grab the outer edge without damage
