I've tried to pitch such a book. It is depressing that I can't get any interest! :x

Yes, I know,
There are only about two dozen helmet freeks in the whole world, and most of them are too cheap to cough up a "C" note for a good book.

A C note is hard to spend on a book , when it get me another helmet. But know i can buy it if it is for sale in US funds

BTW I found a nice reference site for steel helmets a while ago. I use it for looking up less known models, e.g. from eastern europe.

Its Spanish. Just select a county in the footer, click "VER FICHA" beside one of the helmet models and run the text through Babel Fish or whatever.

For example, they have a nice picture of finnish soldiers with ear-cut M18 helmets:

Great photos guys! The Vichy helmet included; it is after all part of the Adrian family history and I don't see anything inappropriate with it... we're all mature collectors here

All I have is an M26 French Inf. Adrian which seems to have had a post-war liner replacement due to leather color? :-k
(at one point, I had to replace the broken front liner rivets with screws )
