Good Evening,

Can you help are the soldiers in the first photograph from a pioneer battalion?

And are the soldiers in the second photograph from Prussian Uhlan Regiment Number 13?

it is hard to tell but if the ulanen are from the regiment nbr 13 than the schould have an aditional bandeau attatched that says penninsula waterloo garzia hernandes i cant make that out on the computer pics

the first picture is indeed a pioneer bataillon
the bare nbr 22 on there schoulders so that makes it
2.koniglich sachsische pionier bataillon nr 22
garnison was riesa XIX armeekorps founded in 1899

I do not believe the Uhlans to be from the 13th. The 13th did have the bandeau on the Wappen and did not wear Litzen on the collar nor cuff. The troops in the photo do not have the bandeau and do have Litzen. My thought is they are either the 1st or 2nd regiment.

Those are Guard Ulan.
 
Excellent photo...also showing carbines and mounted troops belts with open buckle. Congratulations on both pictures.
