The seller said that he didn't collect imperial German items, but he nonetheless believed it to be real because he'd had it forever and it had a nice patina.

Now that, is just God awful. Even the Indians turn out better fakes than that one! Buddy needs to go back and retrain in the faker school!

That one looks a bit pregnant...what's the gestation period of an eagle. Could be a deal, buy it now and you may have one or two Tschako or Tshapka plates in a few months

And if you're lucky enough, it would turn out that Prussian 'eagle' would've actually mated with a lion and you'd get plenty of little Baden plates... :D
(it's funny, you make such a 'joke' outside this forum--say in a bar trying to pick-up--and it would'nt make the slightest sense!)
