This description is outright laughable and the fact that it is sooooooo obviously a fire helmet converted into a M15, but still, 10 bidders going for it!!! :-? :-? :-?

Hey Chris,
This is indeed an obvious fraud... However, if the parts are authentic--especially the chinstrap--, these would be worth more than what the bidding has reached so far.

Yeah I picked up what you all have. But I do agree with Ron, if it stays about here, it would be worth for parts

Fire helmets were converted for military use, but the red flags here are the open holes in the dome and poorly fitted back spine. I'd like to see if the holes behind the plate have grommets or not. To me everything looks to be repainted and the photos are too grainy to really tell. Evidently the developer bath was too cold for somebody's digital camera (sarcasm).

:D Ron

Or his wife opened the (digital) dark room's door to tell him dinner was ready... :D

Its also interesting to see how the cockades are held in place in the absence of a chinstrap :D :D :D :D

Kind regards,

Edwin
