I thought I would share some photos of the first WWI German helmet I very purchased. It is a model '17 camo, that I have had for about 50 years now. Helmet was purchased at a flee market (boot sale) for $4.00 (USD). There is no lining - long gone before I purchased the helmet. The camo pattern is a little different, I've not come across another like it, in that the color patches are painted to look like leaves.
MAkers mark is EA size 64 and the dent was there when I got it.
