My first Taschako

On Tuesday my wife wanted to go for a drive, so we headed off on a two hour drive to some antique shops we like to check out a couple of times a year. I was not expecting to finds 1916 taschako. This is the first one I have see in the wild and I could not resist taking it home. It has never been cleaned but still looks good. Now I need a feldzeichen for it.
 
That is a great find...once in a life time these days. Everything looks good to me, congratulations!
 
there out there somewhere you just have to be at the right place at the right time
so you naild it
did you check the inside of the leather tongues for markings or some sort
sometimes they used the inside for regimental markings or those white name tags for owners identification

Excellent find. Hard to do at antique shops and flea markets.
You have to sift through a lot of dirt to find one gold nugget.
Looks like you hit the mother load!
