All honest house clearing finds, from our hollidays in the south of France.
Among them my first WWI EK;

Thanks it was a great holliday!
I have to confess that everything was bought on fora, before we left; all I did was collecting the items personaly on our trip,but it made us visiting places you would never come otherwise!
It is very difficult to find good militaria, all local antiques dealers have theyre "militaria guy" who they sell to when ever anything pops up.
cheers

I am using the sellers pictures to ease the job!
The helmet is a early model that has been converted from a Guard helmet to a line infantry during the war;

Thanks Ed!
It really did, yes! I had like a average drive of 300 km from one point to the other and no probs!
We stayed at the places we liked the most a little longer and took notes of places we would like to go back ...once....!

Hey Joe,
I guess you are referring to the Haube!?
The EK as no marks!
The helmet says;JW (Instandssetzung-Werkstatt, mark ?) in ink next to the GR1 embossed marking. Not clear what the other marks are, if they are marks!?
