So I have been informed by a fellow forumite that it has a few issues or a lot of issues which are as follows. And thank you for messaging me to let me know.

"in Württemberg, only General's helmets and the War Ministry helmets had the so-called "Gekehlte Spitz" .

Also, the Reichskokarde is a Saxon version and when I see the curve in the angular visor, the helmet also looks Saxon.

The Landeskokarde is a repainted non-commissioned officer's version."

Ok So I don't know what a Gekehlte Spitze is and I found photos of a similar one

Hi Rob,

A "Gekehite spitze" is a fluted spike, like what is incorrectly, for whatever reason, currently on your nice Wurttemburg Line Infantry Officer helmet, and is the type of spike that we normally find on Bavarian Line Officer helmets, or Mecklenburg-Schwerin Line Officer helmets.

It is no wonder that you could not find out what "Gekehite spitze" means. Here is what Bing Translator says:
"Gekehite Spitze" is a rare expression that is usually understood as an inverted or twisted tip. In the German language, "gekehrt" is often translated as "twisted" or "turned around," and "Spitze" mostly refers here to a tip, edge, or point of an object." So says "Bing" Translator.

A much better German term to describe your spike or German word "Spitze" would be that your spike/spitze is: "Kanniliert". This is the term used in the pocket-sized handbook from 31. Mai 1978: "Deutschland-Katalog: Helme & Mutzen der Armee 1871-1945" which I used to start understanding the different German names for the parts of Pickelhaube helmets, and the color combinations of the metal fittings for each regiment. I bought a couple of copies of this book in 1979 or 1980, before the Johannson book "Pickelhauben" was published in 1982.

Kanniliert translates to English word "Cannellated", which means "fluted".

Cannellated, describing a biological surface (stems, bones, shells) marked by long, rounded, parallel furrows. It suggests a natural, organic regularity.
