My last purchases

My last 3 purchases. In the Württemberg artillery, the name Karl Rempel (Lieutenant) appears; can anyone deduce anything from this? My next goal is to find a Jager zu Perde, enlisted in Field Grey.

I agree with Tony on this. I also have a nice JzP, a nice one, worn but in full order, it has some nice patina to it. Liner okay, correct original chinstrap, kokarden fine, and most of all, the correct larger spike. It has the "been there" look over it. I prefer the in good condition being ones, great liner, all correct, but with that patina, worn but not trashed around. And also marked Helbing und Sackewitz, 1916. Just like my Kurassier M15, same maker.

Are there registers to find the name Karl Rempel?

@coert65 i saw your JzP a stunning helmet!

Three great additions to any collection! Thank you for sharing.
Best regards,
John
PS Ditto on Tony’s thoughts. If you have not seen his collection, you should check it out; all are top shelf.

Really nice examples and congratulations (y)

All it takes is money and a bit of patience, and I'm sure you will find exactly what you're looking for.

It really blows my mind when I see how fast "collectors" nowadays can build a beautiful and huge collection.

Before the internet and you would need to spend decades now it takes a few years and of course loads of cash.

( I'm not referencing you REM as I have no Idea how long you've been collecting, It's just a thought in General about the current state of the Hobby.)

Again Congratulations (y)

No problem! I've been collecting Pickelhaubes for 4 or 5 years now. I already have quite a few, but I still want a few specific Pickelhaubes.

I will of course do that! Thanks for your feedback.

@argonne May I make use of your experience and knowledge of the register? Can you trace the name Karl Rempel (Württemberg Artillery)?
