Thats one of my personal favorites (y) it's one of the books like our friend Johans that I really just enjoy flipping through.
all excellent but never complete. I think you need to create your own documentation model by model, state by state, etc.
 
Here is one I seldom see being mentioned, but I use it a lot.
It quiet complete in text and description, not in pictures. Although it still shows a lot of helmets.

Yes. I also use this a lot.

It's very good for quick identification of the army's headdress as of the pre-war period.

You may be correct in building files with many more examples, photos and information lifted from the internet but I'm old fashioned I guess and still really enjoy actually having and enjoying physical books. ;)
