My Oldenburg Pieces

This post is for our member who specializes in Oldenburg militaria. It has taken me 40+ years of collecting on a limited budget to purchase these.

DR 19, the spike and base of this are silver plated and thus the tarnish. The wappen is a very fine thin stamping.

OR's from JR 91

M15 from JR 91.....this I never even dreamed of owning! This helmet is dated 1914 and has the correct Korps marking, X AK.

Wow nice.
The feeling of achieving what we have is just amazing.
I never imagine myself being so serious with the hobby when I first started as well.
I once had a doctor collector friend in Cincy
I would see him at he OVMS shows at the Drawbridge
Stan told me that collecting is a mild form of mental illness
He got a divorce and had to sell his collection
I still have a couple of his helmets
