My Uberzug:

Hello: I am taking a stab at using imageshack and put my meager collection on it along with an Uberzug I just bought. Probably paid too much for it but I 'need' to have at least one. I only have (5) helmets and collect mostly books, documents, particularly to do with POWs as I spend (4) years in Sennelager which was a well known POW camp in both Wars. Anyway here is my attempt to post images from imageshack.

Thanks for posting your collection. Don't be modest about it, at least you have 5 pickelhauben, that's better than none...
In Belgium we have a saying "Wie het kleine niet eert, is het grote niet weerd"...
This means (free translation) the following: He who doesn't honor the small isn't worth the large...

Hey Raiseth,
If you collect POW, here is something that may interest you, it is a POW dog tag from the Holtsminden camp, I recieved the dog tag from my great uncle's effects after he died in 1972. He was never a POW, he was in the Engineers, so I do not know how he came to have this. Even when I was a kid, I recognized it as being something special. The camp banknote was picked up later, but the most interesting thing about Holzminden is that it is the place of the original "Great Escape" that was used as a lesson for the British POWs in WWII.
