National WWI Museum in Kansas City

So my wife and I met up with Gus and Maggie at the National WW1 Museum in Kansas City, I have never been there before, and I have to say I was impressed.

I took a bunch of picture to share, please understand that the lighting made taking pictures tough, tons of glare, so sorry for some of the quality. Also, these pictures represent maybe 10% of what was there. They had uniforms and Kit/Equipment from every country involved in the war, very impressive. Not a ton of Spikes displayed but a few.

I've enjoyed seeing it twice, and one time was with my friend Chip which made the visit even more enjoyable.

It's a world class collection/display. An old friend who served on the board of Governors for the museum told me The designer of the displays went for maximum exposure of artifacts. Something that is not often seen in modern museum design any longer.

I used to work at Manion's auction house with the current Archivist, Jonathan Casey. What a dream job that would be, lol.

We have a British cannon on our square that a local man (Lieutenant in the AEF) brought home.... evidently NOT in his duffle bag! Navy Customs wouldn't let me ship a tank home from Kuwait. Times have changed.
