Somebody out there must be impressed, based on the price.

It doesn't help that the chinscales are on the wrong sides, hence, up side down. I agree.... somebody is impressed. Seems to me if somebody was going to spend the money on chinscales, they'd have gotten either a better liner or spike. The helmet just doesn't ring 'right' to me, but then, that's just me.

Hmmm, I did not know that there were regs for chin scale placement. Are you saying the male fitting is always on the left side?

No, but since they 'arch' upward, that's usually a sign that they were taken off and put on wrong for that helmet.... of course, there are always going to be exceptions. :P Still don't 'feel good' about that helmet though.
I've taken several looks at it and I can't really pinpoint why I feel that way. Certainly, the chinscales / cockades have been removed at one time and the scales polished overly much for my taste, but beyond that I can't really put a finger on it. The shell is nice, etc. but the helmet just kinda bugs me.
Maybe somebody else can shed some light on that deep in my gut feeling.... :-k

And the spine is an officer style...and the chinscale rosettes appear to be bogus plus mounted incorrectly with the Kokarden.
