NCOs Wurttenberg Bayonet Troddel

Guys


Do you know why there are two different types of design for a NCO Wurttenberg bayonet Troddel? One has the red an black stripes going diagonal on the large knot, the other has both colours mixed together. I know that they are not artillery as they would have a leather band.

Without seeing them, I would guess that one is an issue piece and the other is a private purchase example.
