I step out my time machine, and once the smoke clears, in my hand is a near-mint Bambus Ersatz Preußen Rolled-Edge Artillerie Filzhelm.

I managed to trade a soldier named Karl some cigars, bread, and chocolate for this helmet. It is as new; unissued.

Very nice as usual Tony :thumb up:
You should've given "Karl" an email address so that we can all do business with him!

Astonishing! If I would have seen a helmet on ebay with that liner, and without the closeups, I would have backed off. I hope Karl did not get in trouble for the trade.

What a beauty, congratulations Tony... :thumb up: First one I can remember seeing with an embossed makers name, cool...

=D>
Tony, now that you have the best connections, can you please try to mediate a special private meeting between me and Albert, Karl´s Kompanie-Führer? :D
I already have Bitburger for him!!! :occasion5:

Philippe :salute:

Excellent helme T, of note also is the unusual way the liner ends are stitched together, like a star pattern instead of the usual straight line of stitching. Never seen that before.
