Am in the process of having my grandfathers old black and white military photo redone in color. It looks like in the past someone has poorly colorized it but from info I have it does not seem correct. Maybe someone can help. I have some info about his service that seems to have been translated by someone long ago: He was a "musketeer". he served from 10-10-1907 to 9-24-1909, he enlisted in the "Hannoverschen Infantrie Regiment#165, 5 Compagnie, Enlisted #35".

In the photo he has a bayonet with troddel , a visored hat and an upright collar. The photo goes to about his knees

From looking online I think this would be IV Army(?) , Dunkenblau tunic and the cuffs should be Brandenbug (red no piping), shoulder boards red with yellow "165" numerals, plain red collar , troddel should be white slider with red stem and white ball/brush ,hat band red with german cockaid (?) over prussian cockaid .

Does that sound correct? Also what would "Enlisted #35" refer to? and should the trousers be black with red piping or dunkenblau with red piping? Thanks for your time.
