If this is real, this would probably be for a stahlhelm, not a pickelhaube...IMO

I would agree it is for a steel helmet. It looks similar to the Austrian helmet plate, but not exactly.

It quite possibly could be for a Berndorf helmet, but it seems awfully small to be effective on any other steel helmet.

I would point out that the slits in this brow plate for leather fastening straps support the previous statements that this is for a stahlhelme, NOT a Filz helme. This brow plate does not belong with this helme.

It's just another fantasy piece imo... It's been quiet for a year or so, but he's back! It's the second of his fantasy pieces I see this week... This guy makes the finest fantasy pieces you can imagine...
